Why use Comprehensive College Counseling?
The college application process need not be unduly stressful or traumatic; on the contrary, I work to make it an exciting opportunity for exploration and self-discovery. No single school is best for everyone, and there is always more than one school where a given student can thrive and further his or her goals. With all the colleges out there, though, finding the best fit may seem a daunting task. That’s just one of the areas in which Comprehensive College Counseling can help. One-on-one in a relaxed setting, we will work together to determine and maximize your strengths as well as to determine those programs and qualities a college must have to fit your unique combination of interests, preferences, and needs. I will work together with you and your parents to build and refine a list of schools for you to investigate, and I will advise you on all aspects of the application process.
School counselors frequently have much to offer, but they cannot possibly devote as much time to you as an independent counselor can. I work intensively with a small number of students who can always reach me by phone or e-mail. In fact, I encourage students and parents to contact me without hesitation any time they have a question or concern.
